Winding River Valley

A bright blue river winds through green fields in a quiet valley. Purple mountains rise behind, with the sun setting in a yellow and orange sky. Tall pine trees line both banks. The shapes are big and bold, so it's a good first painting. Your paint stays inside the lines, so the river won't spill onto the grass.

How to paint it

1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Make the brush big and paint the sky yellow, with Darker near the mountains. Paint the sun gold.
2. Paint the mountains lavender and their sunny sides light brown. Tap Texture twice and choose Clouds. Dab the clouds softly in white and lavender.
3. Go back to your brush. Paint the river blue and its banks light brown. Paint the fields light green.
4. Paint the tree trunks brown. Tap Texture twice and choose Foliage. Dab the pine trees and bushes in dark green.
5. Add a few grass tufts with the Pencil in dark green. Dab white ripples along the river with Gouache.
