Alpine Lake Journey

Two people row a small wooden boat on a blue-green alpine lake. Snowy mountains rise in the middle, with pale cliffs and dark pines on the shores. The mountains show again in the water. This is for when you want a longer painting with lots of detail. Your paint isn't kept inside the lines here, so take it slowly near the edges.

How to paint it

1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Make the brush big and paint the sky light blue around the clouds. Zoom in and use a small brush near the edges.
2. Tap Texture twice and choose Clouds. Dab the clouds softly with the palest cream. If paint goes over a line, tap Undo.
3. Go back to your brush. Paint the lake turquoise. Paint the mountain shapes in the water pale blue-green.
4. Tap Texture twice and choose Water. Brush ripples over the lake, then tap Darker for the deep water in front.
5. Go back to your brush. Paint the boat light brown, with Darker under its side. Paint the snowy peaks cream with soft blue shade, and the cliffs pale sand colour.
6. Tap Texture twice and choose Foliage. Dab the pines dark green and the far forest grey-green. Add the rowers and oars with the Pencil.
