Campfire and Tent

A green tent stands beside a quiet mountain lake, with its orange flaps tied back. A campfire burns in a ring of grey stones, next to a tin mug. Tall pine trees frame the view. The shapes are big and clear, so it's a good first painting. Your paint stays inside the lines, so the bright flames won't spill onto the stones.

How to paint it

1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Make the brush big and paint the sky soft blue. Paint the mountains blue-grey, the lake blue and the far trees dark green.
2. Tap Texture twice and choose Clouds. Dab the clouds softly in cream.
3. Go back to your brush. Paint the tent sage green, with Darker inside. Paint the flaps orange, the logs brown and the flames gold.
4. Paint the grass sage green and the mug cream. Tap Texture twice and choose Stone. Dab over the stones in soft grey.
5. Tap Texture twice and choose Foliage. Dab the pine trees dark green. Dab the middle of the fire with Gouache in the palest cream.
