Quiet Lake Cabin

The sunset turns a still mountain lake pink and gold. Snowy peaks and glowing clouds shine back in the water. A log cabin with lit windows sits among tall pine trees by the shore. It's for when you want a longer painting with lots of detail. Your paint isn't kept inside the lines here, so take it slowly near the edges.

How to paint it

1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Make the brush big and paint the sky peach, with soft blue at the top. Zoom in and use a small brush near the edges.
2. Tap Texture twice and choose Clouds. Dab the clouds in pink and orange. If paint goes over a line, tap Undo.
3. Go back to your brush. Paint the snowy peaks very pale blue, then add their shade with Darker. Paint the far hills blue-grey and the forests dark green.
4. Paint the lake blue, with orange and pink where the sky shines in it. Tap Texture twice and choose Water. Brush ripples across the lake.
5. Go back to your brush. Paint the cabin light brown and the rocks light grey. Add their shade with Darker.
6. Paint the pine trees and bushes dark green and the tall trunk brown. Dab the lit windows and the sun with Gouache in the palest cream.
