An otter floats on its back in clear blue water, holding a smooth stone. Big round rocks and a few green leaves sit in the corner. The shapes are big and simple, so it's a good first painting. Your paint stays inside the lines, so the water won't spill onto the otter.

How to paint it

  1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Make the brush big and paint the water blue-green.
  2. Tap Texture twice and choose Water. Brush ripples over the water, then tap Darker for the deep parts.
  3. Go back to your brush. Paint the rocks light grey, then add their shade with Darker. Paint the leaves green.
  4. Paint the otter light brown. Tap Texture twice and choose Fur. With Darker, add short strokes the way the fur grows.
  5. Add the eyes, nose and claws with the Pencil. Dab a few white spots on the water with Gouache.
