Dawn at the Lake

The sun rises behind the mountains, turning the clouds orange and pink. A line of gold light shines across a still lake. On the far shore, a small wooden cabin sits among pine trees. This is for when you want a longer painting with lots of detail. Your paint isn't kept inside the lines here, so take it slowly near the edges.

How to paint it

1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Make the brush big and paint the sky gold, with blue above. Zoom in and use a small brush near the edges.
2. Tap Texture twice and choose Clouds. Dab the clouds orange and pink. If paint goes over a line, tap Undo.
3. Go back to your brush. Paint the lake soft blue, with a gold path below the sun. Paint the snowy peaks cream, then add blue-grey shade.
4. Paint the mountain slopes and far forest dark blue-green. Add their dark shapes in the water too. Paint the cabin brown, with Darker under its roof.
5. Paint the rocks light grey, then add their shade with Darker. Tap Texture twice and choose Foliage. Dab the pine trees dark green and the grass green.
6. Add the tree trunks with the Pencil. Dab the daisies and the sun's sparkles with Gouache in the palest cream.
