Autumn Mirror Lake

Gold, red and dark green autumn trees line the far shore of a calm lake. Every tree shows again, upside down, in the still water. A rocky mountain rises behind under a blue sky. Choose this one for a longer painting with lots of detail. Your paint isn't kept inside the lines here, so go gently near the edges.

How to paint it

1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Make the brush big and paint the sky blue around the clouds. Zoom in and use a small brush near the edges.
2. Tap Texture twice and choose Clouds. Dab the clouds softly in cream. If paint goes over a line, tap Undo.
3. Go back to your brush. Paint the lake light blue. Add the gold, orange and green tree shapes upside down in the water.
4. Paint the mountain light brown, then add blue-grey shade in its folds. Paint its lower slopes dark green and the rocks light grey.
5. Tap Texture twice and choose Foliage. Dab the trees gold, orange and red, and the pines dark green. Dab the leaves in front the same way.
6. Add the thin stems in front with the Pencil. Dab the cloud shapes in the water with Gouache in the palest cream.
