Venice Canal

Blue-green water fills a Venice canal between yellow and pink houses. A stone bridge crosses it, and a gondola is tied on the left. A church with a big dome stands far away. Try it when you want a longer painting with lots of detail. Your paint isn't kept inside the lines here, so take it slowly near the edges.

How to paint it

1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Zoom in and use a small brush near the edges. If paint goes over a line, tap Undo.
2. Paint the clouds cream. Make the brush big and paint the rest of the sky light blue.
3. Paint the canal blue-green. Tap Texture twice and choose Water. Brush ripples over the water with Darker.
4. Go back to your brush. Paint the left houses yellow and the right houses pink. Paint the bridge and far church cream, with Darker under the arch.
5. Paint the shutters and doors green. Paint the gondola in the darkest colour with a blue cover, and the posts brown.
6. Paint the trees and leafy plants green and the flowers pink. Add the bridge railing and lamp with the Pencil. Dab white sparkles on the water with Gouache.
