Old European Street

Washing hangs across a narrow stone street in an old European town. The houses have green shutters and pots of red flowers. A red awning shades a small table, and a bell tower stands far away. It's for when you want a longer painting with lots of detail. Here your paint isn't kept inside the lines, so take it slowly near the edges.

How to paint it

1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Make the brush big and paint the sky blue. Zoom in and use a small brush near the edges.
2. Paint the far hills green and the little town cream with orange roofs. If paint goes over a line, tap Undo.
3. Paint the house walls cream and add the shade under the roofs with Darker. Paint the shutters green, the awning red and the pots orange-brown. Paint the washing blue and red, and the table and chairs light brown.
4. Paint the street light grey. Tap Texture twice and choose Stone. Dab over the stones of the street.
5. Go back to your brush. Paint the trees and vines green. Tap Texture twice and choose Foliage, then dab leaves over them.
6. Dab the red and white flowers with Gouache. Draw the washing line, lamp and chair legs with the Pencil and the darkest colour.
