Starry Harbour

Stars and the Milky Way fill the night sky over a calm lake. A cabin glows among tall pines, and a white boat waits by a jetty. Gold lights shine across the still water. Try it when you want a longer painting with lots of detail. Your paint isn't kept inside the lines here, so take it slowly near the edges.

How to paint it

1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Zoom in and use a small brush near the edges. If paint goes over a line, tap Undo.
2. Paint the Milky Way soft blue and the glow above the hills pale gold. Make the brush big and paint the rest of the sky dark blue. Dab the clouds grey-blue.
3. Paint the lake dark blue. Tap Texture twice and choose Water. Brush ripples over the water with Darker.
4. Go back to your brush. Paint the far hills dark blue-grey. Paint the cabin and jetty light brown, and the boat cream.
5. Paint the rocks light grey, then add their shade with Darker. Paint the pines and bushes dark green.
6. Draw the boat's mast and the jetty posts with the Pencil. Dab pale gold on the windows and their reflections with Gouache. Dab a few cream stars in the sky too.
