Moonlit Lake

A full moon makes a path of light across a deep blue lake. Big round rocks line the shore under tall pine trees. Soft mountains sit far away under a few faint stars. Pick this one when you want a longer painting full of detail. On this one, paint isn't kept inside the lines, so go slowly near the edges.

How to paint it

1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Zoom in and use a small brush near the edges. Make the brush big and paint the sky deep blue, round the clouds and moon.
2. Tap Texture twice and choose Clouds. Dab the clouds pale cream, with soft blue underneath. If paint goes over a line, tap Undo.
3. Go back to your brush. Paint the far mountains soft blue and the forest below dark green. Paint the moon pale cream.
4. Paint the moon's path on the lake pale gold, then the rest deep blue. Tap Texture twice and choose Water. Brush ripples over the lake with Darker.
5. Go back to your brush. Paint the rocks light grey, then add their shade with Darker. Add the tree trunks with the Pencil and the darkest colour.
6. Tap Texture twice and choose Foliage. Dab the pines and bushes dark green. Dab a few small cream stars in the sky with Gouache.
