Reading Nook

A cream armchair with a green cushion sits in a sunny reading corner. Shelves of books and jars fill one wall. Through the big window you can see a hill town and a lake. It's for when you want a longer painting with lots of detail. Here your paint isn't kept inside the lines, so go slowly near the edges.

How to paint it

1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Make the brush big and paint the sky light blue, with peach low down. Zoom in and use a small brush near the edges.
2. Paint the far hills grey-blue, the lake blue and the little town cream. If paint goes over a line, tap Undo.
3. Paint the walls cream and the shelves, window frame and floor light brown. Paint the books in browns, greens and blues. Add the shade in the corners with Darker.
4. Paint the armchair cream and the cushion green, then add their shade with Darker. Paint the blanket orange with blue stripes, and the rug light brown.
5. Paint the plants and the trees outside green. Tap Texture twice and choose Foliage. Dab leaves over them.
6. Draw the blue patterns on the jars and the cup with the Pencil. Dab the white flowers on the sill with Gouache.
