Cozy Reading Room

In a cosy reading room, a ginger cat sleeps on a cream sofa. An open book and a cup rest on a wooden table. Through the window you can see a hill village and a blue lake. It suits a long painting with lots of detail. Your paint isn't kept inside the lines, so go gently near the edges.

How to paint it

1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Make the brush big and paint the walls and curtain cream. Zoom in and use a small brush near the edges.
2. Paint the sky and lake outside blue, and the far hills soft blue. Paint the roofs orange and the tall trees dark green. If paint goes over a line, tap Undo.
3. Paint the sofa cream, and the stripes on the cushion and blanket blue. Paint the table light brown, with Darker underneath.
4. Paint the book cream, the cup pale blue and the stacked books dark green. Paint the plant and ivy leaves green, then add their shade with Darker.
5. Paint the cat ginger. Tap Texture twice and choose Fur. With Darker, add short strokes the way the fur grows.
6. Add the cat's closed eyes with the Pencil. Dab sunlight on the table and sofa with Gouache in the palest cream.
