Warm Café Window

Rain runs down a café window, and the street outside shines with lamplight. Inside, a cup of hot coffee sits on a round wooden table. A candle, a green book and some daisies sit beside it. Try it when you want a longer painting with lots of detail. Your paint isn't kept inside the lines here, so go slowly near the edges.

How to paint it

1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Zoom in and use a small brush near the edges. If paint goes over a line, tap Undo.
2. Make the brush big and paint the rainy sky light grey. Paint the far church and buildings grey-blue.
3. Paint the trees gold and the café awning green. Paint the wet street grey, then add its shade with Darker.
4. Paint the window frame, table and chair brown, with Darker on the shaded sides. Paint the blanket rust red.
5. Paint the cup cream and the book dark green. Paint the plant leaves green and the big flower orange.
6. Add the lamp posts and blanket checks with the Pencil and the darkest colour. Dab pale gold on the lamps and candle with Gouache. Add the daisies and a few rain streaks in cream.
