From a room with paper screens, you look out over a small Japanese garden. A low table holds a teapot and two cups. Outside, stepping stones lead to a stone lantern and a red maple in a pot. It's a good next step once you've painted a few. Your paint stays inside the lines, so the gravel, stones and wood stay apart.
How to paint it
- Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Make the brush big and paint the sky light blue. Paint the curved wall and the gravel cream.
- Paint the stepping stones, rocks and lantern grey, then add their shade with Darker. Paint the pot light brown.
- Tap Texture twice and choose Foliage. Dab the trees and bushes sage green, then add shade with Darker.
- Go back to your brush. Paint the posts, beams, table and screen frame light brown. Add their shade with Darker.
- Paint the paper screen cream and the floor mats pale gold. Paint the teapot and cups light blue, and the cushion sage green.
- Paint the maple leaves coral, then add their shade with Darker. Add the maple branches with the Pencil and the darkest brown.
