Quiet Sailboat Sunset

A small wooden sailboat with cream sails rests on calm blue water. The sun sets behind a green hill, and the sky glows orange and gold. Grey rocks and grass sit in the front corner. The shapes are big and simple, so it's a good first painting. Your paint stays inside the lines, so the sky and the sea stay apart.

How to paint it

1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Make the brush big and paint the sky gold, with rose near the sea. Paint the sun gold and the clouds light purple.
2. Paint the water blue. Tap Texture twice and choose Water. Brush ripples over the water, then tap Darker for the deep parts.
3. Go back to your brush. Paint the boat light brown and the sails cream. Add their shade with Darker.
4. Paint the rocks light purple-grey and add their shade with Darker. Draw the mast with the Pencil in brown.
5. Paint the grass and the hill green. Tap Texture twice and choose Foliage, then dab dark trees on the hill with Darker. Dab pale cream light on the water under the sun with Gouache.
