Misty Pine Forest

A dirt path winds between tall pine trees and big mossy rocks. Lower down, white mist fills the valley, and rows of pines fade into it. Blue mountains with snowy tops rise far away. It's for when you want a longer painting with lots of detail. Here your paint isn't kept inside the lines, so take it slowly near the edges.

How to paint it

1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Zoom in and use a small brush near the edges. Make the brush big and paint the sky pale blue.
2. Tap Texture twice and choose Clouds. Dab soft cream clouds above the mountains and pale grey mist in the valley. If paint goes over a line, tap Undo.
3. Go back to your brush. Paint the mountains soft blue and the far pines blue-green. Use Darker for the rows nearer to you.
4. Paint the path light brown and the rocks light grey. Tap Texture twice and choose Stone. Dab over the rocks with Darker.
5. Tap Texture twice and choose Foliage. Dab the moss and ferns yellow-green, and the near pines dark green.
6. Go back to your brush. Paint the tall trunks brown, then add their shade with Darker. Dab snow on the mountain tops with Gouache in the palest colour.
