Deep Woods

Huge mossy tree trunks rise on both sides of a narrow dirt path. The path winds deep into an old forest. Ferns and mossy rocks cover the ground, and patches of sunlight fall on the path. This is for when you want a longer painting with lots of detail. Your paint isn't kept inside the lines, so go slowly near the edges.

How to paint it

1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Make the brush big and paint the far forest soft green. Zoom in and use a small brush near the edges.
2. Paint the path light brown, with Darker at its edges. Paint the far tree trunks grey-brown. If paint goes over a line, tap Undo.
3. Paint the big trunks brown, then add their shade with Darker. Paint the moss on them yellow-green.
4. Tap Texture twice and choose Stone. Dab over the rocks in grey. Add yellow-green on top for the moss.
5. Tap Texture twice and choose Foliage. Dab the ferns and leaves green, with dark green underneath.
6. Add a few twigs with the Pencil. Dab sunlight on the path and moss with Gouache in pale gold.
