A green dragon sleeps on a sunny wooden bench. It curls around a glass garden full of ferns and a glowing gold crystal. Its blue-green wing folds over the top like a roof. It's a good next step once you've painted a few. Your paint stays inside the lines, so the dragon's green won't spill onto the bench.

How to paint it

  1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Make the brush big and paint the bright window behind cream and pale blue. Paint the far hills soft blue and the plants green.
  2. Paint the bench light brown, with Darker under the dragon. Paint the kettle and left pot copper, and the right pot blue. Paint the cloth cream.
  3. Paint the glass pale green, its frame copper and the crystal gold. Tap Texture twice and choose Foliage. Dab the ferns and moss green.
  4. Go back to your brush. Paint the dragon green and its wing blue-green. Add the shade under the body and in the wing folds with Darker.
  5. Paint the horns cream. Add the eye, claws and scale lines with the Pencil. Dab the white flowers and glints on the glass with Gouache in cream.
