Lantern Mushroom Village

Three mushroom houses with blue doors and glowing windows stand along a stone path. An old lantern hangs from a curved post. Ferns and rocks fill the edges, and a stone bridge crosses a blue stream. It's a good next step once you've painted a few. Your paint stays inside the lines, so the red roofs won't spill onto the walls.

How to paint it

1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Make the brush big and paint the sky soft blue. Paint the far hill sage green and the stream turquoise.
2. Paint the mushroom walls cream and the doors blue. Paint the caps red and orange, then add their shade with Darker.
3. Paint the path light gold, and the bridge, stones and rocks light grey. Tap Texture twice and choose Stone. Dab over the stones and rocks with Darker.
4. Tap Texture twice and choose Foliage. Dab the ferns, bushes and trees green, then dark green in the shade.
5. Go back to your brush. Paint the trunk and lantern post brown, and the windows and lantern light gold. Add window bars with the Pencil, and dab cream spots on the caps with Gouache.
