Simple shapes sit together on a wooden table. There's a big red ball, a yellow cylinder, a purple cone and a green cube. A small blue ball and an orange arch sit nearby. It's a good first painting, or an easy one to relax with. Your paint stays inside the lines, so each colour stays on its own shape.

How to paint it

  1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Make the brush big and paint the wall cream. Add the soft shadow stripes with Darker.
  2. Paint the table light brown and add the shade under its top with Darker. Paint the cloth cream with blue stripes.
  3. Paint the big ball red and the tall cylinder yellow. Shade their right sides with Darker.
  4. Paint the cone light purple, the cube green and the small ball blue. Paint the arch orange and the short cylinder cream. Shade their right sides with Darker.
  5. Paint the shadows under each shape soft purple. Dab the palest cream on the lit side of each shape with Gouache.
