Three bright kites fly above orange-red rooftops, with ribbon tails curling behind. The sky is deep blue with big white clouds. Each kite is a large, simple shape, so it's a good first painting. Your paint stays inside the lines, so every kite panel stays tidy.

How to paint it

  1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Make the brush big and paint the sky blue. Add the deeper blue at the top with Darker.
  2. Tap Texture twice and choose Clouds. Dab the big clouds soft cream.
  3. Go back to your brush. Paint the far hills blue and the trees green. Paint the walls warm yellow and the roofs orange-brown, with shade from Darker.
  4. Paint the kite panels red, orange, gold, blue-green and blue. Add a little shade on one side of each with Darker.
  5. Paint the ribbons pink, gold and blue. Add the thin strings with the Pencil.
