Three purple irises with yellow centres open against a warm orange wall. Tall green leaves grow thickly around them. Beside them stands an old brass watering can, with a blue patterned tile above. There's more to paint, but the shapes are clear, so it's a good next step. Your paint stays inside the lines, so each petal stays in its place.

How to paint it

  1. Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Make the brush big and paint the wall light orange. Add the shady patches with Darker.
  2. Paint the tile's pattern cream, then the rest of it deep blue. Paint the stone step beige, then add its shade with Darker.
  3. Paint the watering can gold, then add its shade on the right with Darker.
  4. Paint the long leaves green, then add their shade with Darker. Tap Texture twice and choose Foliage. Dab the small plants and ivy light green.
  5. Go back to your brush. Paint the iris petals lavender and violet, then add their shade with Darker. Paint the beards yellow, and dab a pale gold shine on the can with Gouache.
