An orange cat with darker stripes sleeps curled up on a round blue cushion. A ball of wool lies on the wooden floor nearby. The cat, cushion and wool are big, simple shapes, so it's a good first painting. Your paint stays inside the lines, so the orange fur won't spill onto the blue cushion.
How to paint it
- Choose Watercolour for a soft look or Oil for a bolder one. Make the brush big and paint the wall cream. Paint the floor light brown.
- Paint the cushion's patches soft blue and blue-green, as in the picture. Add the shade under the cat with Darker. Paint the ball of wool coral.
- Paint the plant pot white and its leaves green. Add shade on each leaf with Darker.
- Leave the chest and paws white. Paint the rest of the cat orange. Tap Texture twice and choose Fur. With Darker, add stripes in short strokes the way the fur grows.
- Go back to your brush. Paint the inside of the ears and the nose coral. Add the closed eyes, whiskers and loose wool thread with the Pencil.
